Industrial Health Matters
Industrial Health Matters’ main concern is keeping people safe from the harmful effects of toxic substances and hazardous processes. In most cases, these hazards arise at the workplace, although increasingly, the public are becoming alarmed by the amount of materials such as asbestos and toxic metals in their immediate environment.
Our aim is to assist employers, employees and the public in identifying, assessing and controlling these risks.
We have many years experience in the fields of occupational hygiene, including assessment of the health effects of contaminated soils, asbestos management, work health and safety and training.
IHM has a broad range of experience consulting for industries such as construction, rail, manufacturing, community organisations, schools, tertiary educational sectors and government agencies.
We provide expert hazardous substance reports for council and architectural firms, suitable for residential Development Applications (DAs).
All IHM consultants are all members of their respective professional associations.
Our hygienists, licensed asbestos assessors and WHS advisers can assist with identification, assessment and control options for:
- Asbestos-containing materials
- Air borne contaminants
- Hazardous chemicals
- Contaminated land
- Diesel particulates.
- PCBs and PAHs
